Physiotherapy promotes the motor development of infants, children and adolescents up to the age of 16. It clarifies and treats movement disorders. The treatment is adapted to the stage of development and the severity of the disability and is embedded in functional everyday or play situations. The goal is the acquisition or improvement of motor independence.
Examples of movement disorders are:
Orthopedic problems such as perthes, torticollis, clubfoot, sicklefoot, scoliosis
neurological clinical pictures such as cerebral palsy, spina bifida, plexus palsy
muscular diseases
congenital and/or genetic diseases, syndromes, malformations
Integrated into the treatment are, as needed, parent guidance, aids consultation and organization, as well as interdisciplinary cooperation with early education, occupational therapy, speech therapy, psychology, medicine and school.
