Physio-Centre de Vernier (Vernier)

Life is movement.

The Vernier Physio-Centre was created in 1980, but it wasn't until 1990 that I took over responsibility for the practice, after having spent my first two years at the Champs-Fréchets Physio-Centre.

From the outset, and with the recent and enriching experience I had gained, I wanted to remain true to one guiding principle when I arrived in Vernier: "Respect the Patient".

Whether in terms of availability, welcome, attentiveness, care by adapting treatment to the evolution of the pathology and providing preventive advice, or by constantly seeking to optimize the quality of the techniques used.

Thanks to ongoing training and day-to-day practical experience, I've been able to broaden my horizons in different areas of physiotherapy, so as to offer patients more possibilities in the management of their pathology or rehabilitation, in order to achieve a better end result. But without abandoning the classic techniques that form the basis of physiotherapy, such as massage, mobilization, post-trauma or post-operative rehabilitation in orthopedics, neurological rehabilitation, corrective gymnastics...

Physiotherapy

A paramedical discipline that treats the human body using manual techniques and natural agents. Its aim is to restore the quality and completeness of body movements hampered by pain, stiffness, paralysis and other organic disorders. Physiotherapy cares for, supports, accompanies and advises people in good health, the sick, the injured and the disabled. It prevents illness and accidents. The aims of physiotherapy are to relieve and/or eliminate pain, reduce and/or eliminate functional disorders and achieve rapid reintegration into everyday life.

Different techniques:

• Massage with its different approaches: vascular, lymphatic and reflex massage
• Mobilization and re-education
• Proprioceptive facilitation techniques for rehabilitation.
• Traditional spinal gymnastics, or global postural re-education
• Electrotherapy
• Cryotherapy

It can be applied to a wide range of pathologies:

• Rheumatology
• Traumatology
• Neurology
• Static disorders (scoliosis, kyphosis, lordosis, etc.)
• Respiratory disorders
• Circulatory disorders
• Tissue Dysfunction
