Marcante Thierry (Bellevue)

After graduating from the Geneva School of Physiotherapy in 1985, he worked for a year at the Champs-Fréchets Physio-Centre in Meyrin, while preparing for the opening of the Bellevue Physio-Centre with Donald Zurcher, scheduled for October 1986.

At this center, he was in charge of group classes in spinal gymnastics and stretching, disciplines he particularly liked because of his desire to get his patients moving and to teach them to "manage" their bodies, and more specifically their backs. In 1992, he was a member of the "Swiss Olympic Medical Team" at the Barcelona Olympic Games, looking after rink-hockey and tennis athletes, and in particular Marc Rosset, who went on to become Olympic Champion. Unforgettable!

From 1997 to 2011, he was appointed physiotherapist to the Swiss Davis Cup team. Since the first match in Sweden (February 97), he has followed the team around the world, culminating in the semi-final in Australia in 2003. He has fond memories of 15 years of adventures and emotions with the team.

Between 2000 and 2003, he was hired by Swiss Tennis as a physiotherapist to coach Swiss players at Grand Slam tournaments (Australian Open, Roland-Garros, Wimbledon, US Open). He will be looking after players such as Roger Federer, Stanislas Wawrinka, Marc Rosset and Jacob Hlasek. Thanks to his experience in the sports field and the various courses he has attended (manual techniques, sports medicine seminars, various training courses), he has a very global approach to the patient and does not hesitate to adapt his treatment techniques to obtain the best results by making the best use of his skills.
