Physiotherapy

Residents are followed in their rehabilitation programs prescribed by their attending physicians in order to maintain, prevent and, when possible, enhance their functional abilities. Particular attention is then paid to the entire group of inpatients who are unable to walk: through a careful assessment of posture, the most suitable wheelchair is assigned to each elderly person, with the corresponding postural system. All this is done with the aim of preventing the occurrence of secondary damage (sores, contractures, etc.), and ensuring comfortable and functional positioning. As of January 1, 2020, depending on which Health Insurance Fund you are affiliated with, the physiotherapy service will not be included in your tuition. To be eligible for this service, you will need to make a specific request to your attending physician, who will provide the appropriate prescription. Some health insurance funds will still temporarily recognize this service through a daily flat rate.

Treatment and therapy

The Home guarantees the presence of nursing staff 24 hours a day 7 days a week. The nursing sector is coordinated by the Care Manager, Mr. Federico Mazzoleni; his role is to manage this sector ensuring the well-being of the Guests and staff. Health care activities are prescribed by the Medical Director, Dr. Mehran Faeli, in collaboration with the Institute's other physicians, Dr. Gabriele Nobile and Dr. Nikolaos Georgitsogiannakos. Management of the floors is entrusted to the head nurse, Ms. Daniela Frigerio.
