Physiotherapy Physiotherapy bases its treatment on the patient's complaints and functional, movement or activity restrictions that are identified during the physiotherapeutic examination. On the one hand, the treatment aims at natural, physiological reactions of the organism (e.g. muscle development and metabolic stimulation), on the other hand at an improved understanding of the functioning of the organism (dysfunctions/resources) and at self-responsible handling of one's own body. The goal is the restoration, maintenance or promotion of health and very often freedom from or reduction of pain.

Home visits If it is not possible for you to come to our practice for physiotherapy because of your complaints, we are happy to come to your home. This allows adapted therapy to take place in your personal environment to improve your independence within the range of your abilities. This service requires a specific prescription procedure from the attending physician.

Manual therapy This involves special handgrip techniques that are used to localize, analyze and solve a movement disorder in the area of the extremity joints or the spine as part of the diagnostic assessment.

Manual lymphatic drainage (ML) Special grips are used to stimulate lymphangiomotor activity, resulting in a shift of fluid in the lymph. Sympathicolysis (relaxation) and pain relief are further effects of ML. In the case of edema treatment, a compression bandage is applied during the decongestion phase following ML in order to optimize the therapeutic effect; later, in the maintenance phase, a custom-made compression stocking can be worn.

Fields of application of manual lymphatic drainage: Primary lymphedema (edema due to an anatomical malposition of the lymphatic system). Secondary lymphedema (edema due to damage of the lymphatic system) after breast cancer surgery after surgery for tumor diseases in the abdomen (uterus, ovaries...) Post-traumatic / postoperative edema (hip prosthesis, knee prosthesis, supination trauma...) Phleboedema (edema due to venous insufficiency) Lipedema (painful fat tissue proliferation of the extremities) Sudeck's disease Ulcer / scars / burns Rheumatic diseases (e.g. chronic polyarthritis) Diseases of the neck/head area (headaches, migraine, fascial paresis, acute tinnitus, chronic ENT infections) Fibromyalgia Burn out syndrome
