Physiotherapy is an independent discipline in the field of therapy, which together with medicine and nursing forms the three pillars of conventional medicine. It enhances the quality of life and is aimed at remedying physical dysfunctions and pain. Physiotherapy is used in therapy, rehabilitation, prevention and health promotion as well as in palliative treatment.

Physiotherapy is aimed at accident victims and people with acute or chronic illnesses, people with disabilities as well as healthy people. It offers children and adolescents, people of working age and senior citizens solutions with which restrictions of movement (due to illness/accident/postural defects) can be treated.

Physiotherapeutic services, if prescribed by a doctor, are reimbursed by the health insurance, accident insurance or disability insurance as part of the basic insurance.
